Shooting under pressure is a valuable as well as perishable skill and is one of the most valuable skills you can have in terms of how it will affect the outcome of a lethal force or other event. This course follows on the Practical Marksman 110 course and is designed to take you to new levels of real world shooting skills and performance!

Course Description:

 The Practical Marksman 150 course is a one day course designed for intermediate and advanced levels of shooters who wish to dramatically increase their capacity to deliver both fast and precise hits under pressure. We will train both precision marksmanship and practical marksmanship under tighter time limits as well as increase the range of skills. The skills you learn here will be used in future courses here with us or wherever else you choose to go.

Topics include:

  •  Review of safe gun handling and range safety
  • Recoil management for fast, precise shooting under pressure
  • Visual processing skills for lethal force engagements
  • Drills to increase your control, speed and precision with the handgun!
  • Advanced Trigger Control Skills– master yourself and master the trigger!
  • Using the Shooting Cycle – Get better in a balanced way!
  • The flinch response – learn to understand and deal with it!
  • LOTS of skill-building shooting drills on both paper and steel targets 1-25 yards.
  • Optional skills test for Practical Marksman 150 for documentation of training and certification.

  Prerequisite: This is a follow on course from Practical Marksman 110. If you do not have experience with our methodology, it would be a good idea to contact us so that you are not left behind on the core skills.

You will need:

Safe, serviceable, defensive type handgun (Minimum caliber is 9mm) suitable for extended shooting sessions. Bring holster that covers the trigger guard, 500 rounds of ammo, extra magazines, eye and ear protection, clothing to suit the weather. Hat with brim is mandatory.
