Course Description:
Our staff is constantly pushing the envelope and came up with a new way for women to learn more in-depth defensive training with a handgun.
This course exceeds NRA and the NSSF Women on Target standards for self defense shooting skills and content. It is designed to give a strong foundation of defensive shooting skills that focus on the handgun and personal protection.
Saturday will start an educational day of exploring different firearms topics aimed at getting you more knowledgeable and comfortable around handguns. We will develop core fundamental safety and shooting skills using a variety of skill building practical exercises and steel and paper targets.
In the evening we will have a reception and raffle with prizes, giveaways and awards along with wine, appetizers, and, of course, chocolate! Each woman will receive a gift bag with a variety of local discounts for shopping and other goodies.
Topics:
Gun ownership, safety with firearms in the home and around children, loading and unloading, fundamental shooting skills, cleaning, handling and maintenance, personal protection in the home, on the street and in the back country. Discussion of laws of deadly force and other topics of interest!
You will need:
You are encouraged to bring your own handgun if you have one available. Bring a case for it. If you have a holster, wear it. We will have a selection of firearms for you to use. Ear plugs, safety glasses are required. Clothing to suit the weather, sun screen, hat with bill and lunch.
